Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tree in the coffee family that is
indigenous to Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Papua New
Guinea where, it has been used in herbal medicine since at least the
nineteenth century. Traditionally the leaves are chewed to relieve
musculoskeletal pain and increase energy, appetite, and sexual desire.
Kratom
leaves are dried and fermented in a variety of ways to create different
“strains” such as white, red, green, and yellow, each of which alters
the chemical profile of the leaf and thus the experience. Additionally,
the chemical content varies by geographical source of the plant.
Mitragyna
speciosa contains Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, which bind to
the mu opioid receptor, as well as the delta and kappa receptor, and
delta-yohimbine, which depresses the alpha 2 adrenergic receptor.
We have four strains to choose from:
Green Malay - 1.53% Mitragynine and .10% 7-OH-Mitgragynine - Specially oxidized for maximum alkaloid concentration, this relaxing kratom is best for experienced kratom enjoyers.
Red Borneo - 1.45% Mitragynine - Mildly sedating, with a smooth extended come up. Great for novices and experienced users alike.
White Maeng Da - 1.45% Mitragynine - “Maeng Da” is Thai for “Pimp Grade”, a term reserved for the strongest kratom, such as this euphoric and energizing strain.
Yellow Sumatra - 1.53% Mitragynine - An excellent blend of stimulation and relaxation, this balanced kratom is an all-around favorite.
